Rainy day blues: What do you do when not fishing?

Another week of rain ahead!
"It never rains in Exmouth"  I lost count of the times I heard this, last month, before it started raining for weeks on end.

It feels like forever since we have had the boat out, or even a nice day fishing off the shore.  This time last year we were fishing all day everyday, now we are lucky to get out once a fortnight.

The only time Black Thing gets wet at the moment.
I have been assured by long term locals that this weather is very out of the norm, so we do not need to pack up and move somewhere sunny...yet.

On the positive side, we are getting other things done, that normally get put off to go fishing instead.

Renovations have begun at last!
Because of the Derby heat, and constantly trying to keep the house cool, we never used to use the oven, opting for out door cooking as much as possible.  With this cooler rainy weather in Exmouth we have started experimenting with oven cooking.  I cooked my first lamb roast last night, all the veg and even cauliflower cheese!  It was amazing!!
We have been cooking up a storm, trying heaps of new recipes:

Fresh local Exmouth Prawns!

Pork ribs ready for the oven

Sticky Pork Ribs, Chef Johnno!

Beef Jerky was marinated for 3 days before dried in the oven.

Johnno's Pork Belly was AMAZING!!!!
What do you all do when you can not go fishing?

I've charged all camera batteries.  Even the drone, which hasn't been used since we got to Exmouth.  I've ordered new cables so I can start using my semi-pro movie camera again.  I am so ready to get out there and start making fun Positive Fishing YouTube clips again!
But for today, now that the rain has settled in again, I think I will just sort old clips and photos.  Check out our Positive Fishing on Facebook if you want to see any new/old photos I find today while drinking tea/beer and cooking more new fabulous recipes.

Pup & Charlie are bored from the rain as well.
