Last weekend was an experience to remember, so that we never repeat it.

We had this great idea of going for an over night camp on the beach before the big low brings all this rain this week.
Friday night we got everything ready, so when I finished work Saturday lunch time we could just jump in the car and drive the 2 1/2 hours to our favourite camping spot.
We knew it was going to be hot, and we knew there could be a lot of little biter's.
We have never been camping in Feburary before, and we quickly realised WHY...it's TOO bloody HOT!!!
OMG the humidity was CRAZY!!

A storm rolled past us driving the humidity crazy high!
As soon as we got out of the car we heard the thunder behind us.  We didn't even bother to unpack because it looked like the storm was heading straight for us, we actually thought we might have to drive out again.  We went for a walk on the beach to fill in some time while watching the storm head off towards Broome.  Interestingly, I put a picture similar to this on social media asking Broomies how much rain they got, as it looked like they were getting hammered.  But they got NO rain at all, crazy weather!!!
We didn't get any rain on the beach either, so we unpacked and settled in to watch the amazing West Coast sunset.  Then the storm woke up some more so we enjoyed a great lightening display

Our evening was filled with Drone flying and storm photography.
I don't want to remember the horrid night that followed, so lets just say we didn't get much sleep as we swum around in our own sweat!
We were up before the sun, and luckily as well, it got HOT very fast!!  We were swimming as the tide came in at 7am just to cool down.  By 10am we were packed up and heading home to escape the heat and humidity!
But you don't have to experience all that, you can see the beauty of the WA sunset and lightening storm in the comfort of your own home.  Check out this little YouTube clip I made, to remember the good parts of our crazy weekend.

The rain has come to the Kimberley now.  This weekend we are home enjoy natures display in comfort.  Stay tuned, plenty more storms and rain footage to come as the large Low passes over us in the next couple of days.
Quondong Point is so green at the moment.

20km in 2020 JFDI!

Putting it on social media, so it's out there and I am accountable!

Goal number 4 of my 20 goals for 2020: Run 20km continual!

Well actually the goal was originally just do 20km, but of course once I started training I knew it would have to be run, not walk.  So the training begins!

Thanks to my motivated training buddy, I have been getting up at 5am every morning for, well last week was our first FULL week. 😉 We have begun!  We have a plan and we are sticking to it!

We started with just getting out of bed!  We made a commitment to meet at 5:30am every morning to Walk & Talk.  Once we realised we  could get out of bed, we started adding in some interval jogs, then a weights day, then a core day!  Now we have a full week workout plan, and by the end of this week will be running half hour continually REGULARLY!!

Consistency is Key!  Accountability turns that key!
We have made ourselves accountable to each other.  The only reason I got out of bed this morning is because I know Bron was going to be waiting for me, and if she can do it, I CAN DO IT!!
We are both Just F'n Doing It!!!

So now it's out there, it's on social, you all know!  Now we are not just accountable to each other but to all Positive Letter readers as well.
Chuck a comment below, let us know you are following, we appreciate all the support we can get!

If you are looking to get started on any goal, I recommend getting a buddy, someone who is going to get you out of bed in the mornings!

Keep reading, I will give regular updates on our running progress over the months ahead.

ALSO: YouTube first payment!!

I woke Saturday morning to an email from Adsense, advising my first payment from YouTube will go into bank account this week!  I'm super excited about this.  All last year was working towards this moment, not it has finally happened!  See more goal setting = goal getting!!

With the rivers pumping we haven't done as much fishing as usual.  But that's ok, as it turns out our Positive Fishing YouTube followers really liked the clips showing off our wet season rivers.

Summary: January seemed to last forever.  I read somewhere that 'January is like one long Monday', and yes that is how it felt.  Starting everything!  Starting a fitness routine after so long off.  Waiting for YouTube payment even though we were monitorized last year.  Starting a weights routine.  Starting renovation work around the house......

Now it has all BEGUN, the ball is rolling and I'm super excited to see what the next few months produce!
Bring it on!!!!
Our first YouTube clip to get over 1,000 views on first day of release!  Thanks for watching everyone. 🙋
