For YOU the NEW LOVE of PROVEN SAFTEY RESULTS!!!!

For YOU the NEW LOVE of PROVEN SAFTEY RESULTS!!!!

Oops, not so PROVEN or so SAFE!! ...

I'm 'Learning' about BLOGS;

GOGGLE SAYS hahahah, no longer is it Confucius Says!!!...... Google says: YOU NEW LOVE PROVEN SAFTEY and RESULTS are up in the 10 top 'marketing' words, to make BLOGS more popular!!!!

I believe you attract what you think about: These words must have been playing on my mind today when we popped out for a 'Quick' fish (it takes over an hour to get to any fishing spot here). Here I am thinking about friggin 'SAFTEY' ....knowing that the other words will fit in our blog just fine every trip.  But SAFTEY, is NOT one of our strong points!!!

Note to self.. write Blog of hospital experiences with JOHN MARVEN!!!!!!

Luckily (why isn't LUCK a power word??), today we didn't end up in hospital!

I've had my Phantom Drone since Christmas =  Two months, two crashes, not bad from what I can tell by 'YouTube' clips?
Today was my second crash, worse than the first...it cut my fingers!!!!
Lesson learnt...let Johnno help you!!!

Johnno flying Drone like a Pro!

We were going to fly the drone in front of car, I got out to set up drone, Johnno stayed in car.....blur blur blur...lets leave it there so I don't turn into 'bitch' girlfriend!

Just as Funny!!  WE were practice flying the drone while catching NO fish (ok, so I caught two catfish, but they don't count in the Kimberley!).  John flew first, so I took the time to put on 'Charlie Cam'
Each drone battery last about 16 minutes.  Johnno landed on 15:59mins, we changed battery, I looked at 'Charlie Cam' all fine, even if she wasn't doing much.  So I let the Drone fly with a new battery...10 minutes later, trying to film Sea Eagles sitting in a tree across the river...I realise Charlie is sitting beside me NO CAM!!!
Charlie Cam
Counting our lucky PROVEN SAFTEY RESULTS stars; we found Charlie Camera, in a snag TOO close to the river!!!  She shouldn't have been there, and knew it!!! PROOF in the GoPro footage!!!! ....YouTube clip to follow.

ONLY EIGHT WEEKS!!! Johnno moved move out date forward on me, time to get serious!!!  We started plastering the house today, ready to paint, ready to go on holiday!!!!!

Just to show that all things don't come in 3's.  When I downloaded photos off my 7D camera, that didn't get dropped or lost, I found this most wonderful photo of Colin that I had taken earlier in the week.

Looks like PROVEN SAFTEY RESULTS to me, how about YOU?

10 years, down to 10 weeks!

10 years and beyond:

There was a time, 10 years ago, before settling in Derby town, when Johnno and I would camp on the beach for months on end.

The dog, car and tent might have changed, but we have plans to do it all again!  Eating fish & rice.  Spending hours fishing, then writing about it, editing photos and video footage!  That’s changed too!  We have a lot more high tech equipment these days!  All the more fun for you following us on here or YouTube!

Nothing change’s but change!

I have been running my own fun, Boot Camp and Personal Training business, Positive Steps  for 5 years.
What I have learnt from this is that ANY THING is possible!!  If you put your mind to it, you really can do anything!!!
But what I also know is that I am not a ‘career’ kind of person.  I will have many different jobs in my life time.  I am not the kind of person who can devote their life to one path.  So I ask: What Now?

People always ask adults ‘what did you want to be when you were a kid? Have you done that?’
All I ever wanted to be was a Gypsy (and a Truck driver, have to give that a crack one day!).  I had a vision of myself living in a very colourful Combe Van, with a dog, burning insents ;) beside a camp fire by the beach.
Well my mode of transport might be much bigger than I envisioned, but there's not just me: see Blog below to meet the team! Introducing Positive Fishing Team

Ten amazing years in Derby!!!
So many Barramundi!!! (This is a fishing Blog after all!!!)

Too many fish to share in one Blog!

So many wonderful trips ‘Up the Coast’

So many other wonderful secret fishing places ;)

Hence why we decided NOT to sell our house in Derby!  Even though the Gypsy in me needs to hit the road, the wonderful friends we have here, and secret fishing spots, will lead us home again!

I wanted to write about all the amazing fishing experience's we have had over the last 10 years in Derby, but were to start?  We have caught so many fish! hahah, there's the show off in me coming out!  Luckily I have a lot of our fishing adventures and coast trips, already saved on YouTube, so you can check them out here: Positive Fishing on YouTube be sure to ‘subscribe’ as well, so you don’t miss any of the clips while we are away!!

From 10 years down to 10 weeks!

10 weeks from today until we hit the road again….and I still have to catch a Metre Barra in that time as well as pack the house and camper.

Perparations for our most mammoth fishing holiday yet are under way!  Johnno is building a frame to put the tinny on top of the camper trailer, that will have solar panels, so we can continually charge all my camera gear!

Fishing tackle is being sorted, and re sorted, and then ALL packed, it is a fishing holiday after all!

Bird cage has been brought so our noisy parrot Aussie gets to tag along, like it or not, on his first beach adventure.

Blog and YouTube chanell sit up on lap top, so I can continually show off, I mean keep you all up to date with where we are, and how many fish we are catching.

We will be travelling with two dogs, and it’s been a while since we left the Kimberley, so we really want to hear from you ALL with beaches where we can camp for cheap with our dogs.  Looking forward to hearing from you all, advise on beaches, camping gear, web sites etc would be great!!!

Thanks everyone!

Introducing the Positive Fishing Team!

Finally I have discovered the world of Blogging!

Excuse me while I experiment....in between fishing trips, and slowly get the hang of this new world!

I've been using FaceBook for many years now.  I love the ability to show off  photos as soon as I've caught (and most of the time released) all the fish we catch. Fishing Photos from our trip so far and Fishing photos from before this trip

I have a YouTube channel where I can share my Fishing Clips after adding funky music, to relive the joy of the day.

Now finally I have somewhere to write about the planing, preparation, adventure and emotions!  All the heart and soul that goes into catching a single fish....or hopefully on some days more than just one ;)

Introducing the Positive Fishing Team:

Positive Fishing Family; with Old boy Dopey on the right, he is in doggie heaven chasing fish now, but had been on many fishing holidays with us.
John Marven: Has loved fishing ALL his life!  John has many fishing tails to share...including catching metre plus barra a few times, I'm just a bitch girlfriend and thought this photo was way cooler to introduce him!
John loves all styles of fishing, for all kinds of fish.  But over the last few years has favoured Salt Water Fly Fishing!  Making his own flys and rods.  We have spent many many many hours walk sand flats searching for, but not yet catching (there's the bitch in me again!) the elusive Permit.

Karen Rule: That's me (the bitch girlfriend).  I have also loved fishing all my life, but may not be as obsessed about it.  John will start preparing for the next days fishing as soon as we get home, I like to savour the moment by sorting the days photos, editing GoPro footage, and now, Wahoo, writing blogs about the day!  I run a small Outdoor Group Fitness class called Positive Steps Boot Camps.  We have other small groups named Positive Swimmers, Positive Runners, Positive Kitchen, and hence how the name Positive Fishing Letters was created.

Prince Puppy: Or just Pup!  4 years old, very calm, loving mixed breed, rescued dog.  Very easy to take fishing, because he is happy to just sit beside us on the bank, or walk beside us on the beach all day. I have a million wonderful photos, he is so photogenic, so you will be seeing  a lot more of him!
Crazy Charlie

Crazy Charlie: Yes named after the Fly, but she lives up to the name as well!  Very energetic, LOVES running on the beach, loves chasing fish, hooked ones more so, grrrrr.  Hardly ever sits still, so it's hard to get a good photo, but makes for many laughs, or tears, and has many tales! So you will be hearing a lot about her.
