Apparently it's the weekend?

Going for our weekend drive.
It was rather cold when we woke up this morning, so cold I had to find my hoodie and slippers (sanok's).  After coffee and porridge to warm our bellies, it started feeling a bit warmer outside.  YES there is a big difference in temperature between in and out of the camper tent.

Johnno's been talking about doing an oil change on the car, well since BEFORE we left Derby 6 weeks ago.  Being a Saturday, and expecting a few people on 'our' beach, we thought it a good day to do it. We had, over a few beers the last couple of nights, talked about when would be a good 'oil change' time and place.  There is a bit more planning involved than if you were going to do it in your sheltered driveway at home.  Too early in the morning and it's too cold, that is coffee and reading time anyway!  Every morning since we got here has been hell windy, so oil and sand would be everywhere.  Mid day is still and too hot.  Afternoons we get HAMMERED by sandflies.  When would you do it?

Johnno decided on after breakfast, before the wind got too much, good call, the wind wasn't as bad this morning.  Before doing an oil change, the oil needs to be warmed, so we had to go for a drive.
Our Saturday morning family outing involved driving around the rocks and sand dunes that surround our camp.  The dogs got over excited as they jumped in the back sit, only to realise they had to sit through half an hour of being bounced around the back seat. Here's a link, if you are interested in seeing a tiny part of where we are currently camped (again)  Oil Change drive.

Our current back yard.
We drove as far towards the creek as we could, without having to do the big drive back to the main road and going all the way around Willie Creek.  We stopped across from the Pearl Farm, dogs had to stay on their leads here due to the BIG croc we have seen in this area.  Seen as in, the dogs went running into the creek and the croc came full bore ahead, straight at them!!  No kidding, didn't even bother to go under water, it was on a mission, No Stopping Him!!  I still have nightmare's about that.  We obviously got the dogs out, but shit it still makes the hair's on the back of my neck stand up!  And the dogs still don't know why I was screaming at them!
Croc Country!
On the way back to our camp

Once we got home, Johnno obviously did the oil change, remember, the reason for our fun driving around.
Then we went fishing!  Of course.
Beautiful morning on the beach catching Queenies, YouTube clip to follow (one a day is enough).

Queenie for dogs lunch!

Tired after fishing and eating fish for lunch.
I started downloading this mornings video footage off my new 7D mark 2, and wasn't at all happy with it, I'm sure it isn't as good as my mark 1. So while Johnno was fishing the out going tide this afternoon, I finally got around to playing around with my camera settings.
Playing with camera and dogs.

Watching Johnno fish...come on Johnno catch a fish!
Photo above from while Pup (and Charlie) were still being good.  Very shortly after this photo was taken 3 cars drove past.  Car number one, both dogs sat beside me being good.  Car 2, they looked at each other, I know the sign and started telling them to sit!  Car 3, too much temptation!  Dogs Gone.
I had to run down the beach, first run in over 6 weeks, to get them.   Lucky for me it was a fishing buddy in the first car, so not too embarrassing for me, and they had a friendly little boy dog, who's cuteness softened the blow for my naughty dogs.
...We have have finally after 6 weeks, started 'talking about' running again.  Maybe shortly we might start??
...I just went outside to pee, YES it is so much colder out there!
